New District Meeting Information
As everyone has certainly heard, the Three Rivers and Sweetwater Districts have combined to form a new, stronger
and better equipped single District, set to begin operations immediately. All meetings that were previously held
separately will now be held together.
The first meeting as one will be at the monthly District Commitee meeting, held the first Thursday of every month. The
first meeting is this coming Thursday, December 5, beginning at 7:00 at Villa Rica High School.
The Commissioner's staff meeting will be held every second Thursday, also at Villa Rica High School. All registered
Commissioners from the prior District should plan to attend.
The new District name will be determined at the December District Committee The suggested names can be found by
following this link. The page will be updated as names are submitted.
With the combining of Districts, the individual websites are working to continue updating and keeping Scouters
informed. More information can be found on the existing Three Rivers web site at www.3riversbsa.net.
Take Part In The Carrollton Christmas Parade
Each year Carrollton Mainstreet organizes the annual Christmas Parade through downtown Carrollton. We have
secured a spot in this year's parade for any units, Scouts and Scouters that may wish to participate. We have a section
large enough accommodate walkers only. Normally, as the parade gets going, things tend to spread out more. Our
lineup spot is number 54 (toward the rear and close to Santa). All Scouts are invited.
This is a great way to promote and make visible the Scouting program in our area. It is also lot's of fun and will get you
in the Christmas spirit!
Please follow this link to the parade guidelines.

the 3rd Thursday of every month. The new format is a great opportunity to meet Scouters you may not know and
learn from others in a new format. Roundtable will be at Villa Rica High School, beginning at 7:00.
Mark your calendars for this month and each month going forward and come have fun and get some great information
on how to help our youth and become better leaders.

that we can give. Basic and advanced classes will be available for Cub Leaders, Boy Scout Leaders, Venturing Leaders,
Commissioners. There will also be courses for Boy Scouts and Venturing Scouts. We'll also see the return of a lost
favorite, the Dutch Oven Cook Off.

Creek Middle School. With so many opportunities and so close to home, there's no reason for everyone to not be
